VPNIH · Setup Guide
Get Your Subscription and Import It into a Client
Create an account → Choose a plan → Get your subscription → Import it into a client → Verify the connection. Set up your account and plan in the dashboard first, then connect from your device.
Create an Account and Sign In
Start by opening the account creation page in the VPNIH user dashboard. You’ll create an account with a username and password; no email address is required. Choose a username that’s easy to remember and a unique password. Consider saving them in your password manager. If the page displays formatting or validation requirements, follow them before continuing. Your client’s configuration name is not your account username.
Once your account is set up, open the dashboard and check that your account overview appears correctly. If you’re taken back to the sign-in page, use the username and password you just saved. The marketing site explains plans and setup, while account details, orders, subscriptions, and client downloads are managed in the user dashboard. Keep the dashboard open in a separate tab so you can follow these steps as you go.
Your account password and subscription link serve different purposes: use the password to sign in and manage your account, and the subscription link to load routes into your client. You don’t need to enter your account password in the subscription URL field. If you forget your login details, follow the recovery instructions in the dashboard. Since no email address is required, save your username and password somewhere secure rather than assuming you can recover them by email.
Choose a Plan and Payment Method
After signing in, open the plans section in the dashboard. First decide whether you prefer a monthly plan or a data package that you can use until it runs out. Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Data packages never expire. The main difference is how your data is allocated, so don’t choose based on price alone.
If you mainly browse the web or use AI tools, choose a data allowance that fits your habits. If you regularly stream video or transfer large files, pay closer attention to your actual usage. Monthly plan data resets each month on the day you subscribed, not at the start of the calendar month. When you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Check the billing details in the dashboard before proceeding.
Select a plan to open the order page. Check the plan name, data allowance, billing method, and total, then choose Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After paying, return to the dashboard and check the order status and plan details in your account overview. If payment is complete but the dashboard hasn’t updated, refresh the order status and make sure you’re signed in to the same account. Don’t place the order again. If you need help, contact support through the dashboard ticket system.
VPNIH supports unlimited devices and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the plans page for a full comparison and the refund policy for details. Once your plan is active, continue to the subscription step. Creating an account alone doesn’t give your client a usable configuration.
Get Your Subscription Link from the Dashboard
Return to the account overview in the user dashboard, confirm your plan is active, and find the subscription or import section. Think of the subscription link as a credential that lets your client retrieve its route list. After importing it, you can update the subscription to fetch the latest route information. It isn’t a regular website homepage or a client installer, so there’s no need to keep opening it in your browser.
If the dashboard offers an import option for the client you’ve installed, use it if you can. Your browser may ask whether to open an external app. Check that the app name matches your client before allowing it to open. If the client doesn’t launch, install it first and try again from the dashboard. Alternatively, copy the subscription link and import it manually in the client. There’s no need to weaken your browser’s security settings to force a redirect.
When copying the link manually, use the dashboard’s copy function and keep the full address intact. Don’t copy only the portion visible on screen, or add quotation marks or other text around the link. Paste it directly into the client’s subscription URL field. Never share it in a group chat, public document, or online checker. If you take a screenshot to ask for help, hide the full link and any access credentials it contains.
Import the Client for Your Platform
Sign in to the user dashboard and open the client downloads section. Choose the VPNIH client for your device’s operating system. The client is available for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux without a paid plan; an active subscription is still required to connect. For iOS, follow the eligibility instructions in the dashboard. Don’t download installers from unfamiliar file-sharing sites or use an installer made for another platform.
Windows: Import Your Subscription
Install and open the Windows desktop client, then find the “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or similar management section. In a client that supports subscription links, choose the option to import from a link when adding a configuration, then paste the full address copied from the dashboard. If there’s a name field, use a label that’s easy to recognize. Save and wait for the client to load the configuration. A route list should appear; a configuration name alone doesn’t confirm a successful import.
If the dashboard has an import button for your client, you can use it to open the app and add the configuration. After importing, update the subscription, then check the route or proxy selection page for available regions. For your first connection, stick with the client’s recommended default settings. If you’re unsure about system proxy settings or other modes, follow the client’s instructions and avoid changing several network options at once.
macOS: Add a Configuration and Check the Menu Bar
Choose the macOS client in the dashboard, follow the system prompts to install it, and open the app. Look for configuration management in the main window or menu bar, then choose “Add subscription,” “Import from link,” or the equivalent option. Paste the link, save, and wait for the route list to appear before selecting the configuration you just added. If the app asks to add a network configuration or grant connection permission, verify the app name and follow the system prompts.
Some macOS clients keep running in the menu bar after you close the main window, so a closed window doesn’t necessarily mean the app has quit. After importing, check the current configuration and connection status in the menu bar. If you have another network proxy tool installed, pause it before testing this connection. That way, multiple apps won’t try to manage your network at the same time and make the results hard to interpret.
Android: Add a Subscription from a Link
Sign in to the dashboard to get the Android client. Install and open it, then go to subscription or configuration management and choose the option to add from a link. Paste the full subscription address, save it, and refresh the configuration to view the route list. You can also use the app import option in the dashboard. If your device asks which app to use, choose the client you just installed so the configuration isn’t sent to an unrelated app.
The first time you connect, Android may ask for permission to set up a VPN connection. Check the app name and confirm, then return to the client to check the connection status. If the connection often drops when you switch apps, check the system’s background activity restrictions for the client and adjust them according to the app’s instructions. There’s no need to change every battery and network setting at the start. First confirm that the connection works, then address any specific issues.
iOS: Allow the Configuration After Importing
Open the iOS client section in the dashboard. Follow the current instructions for eligibility and available options; if you don’t currently meet the requirements, follow the dashboard’s guidance. Once you’ve installed an available VPNIH client, use the matching import option in the dashboard or choose “Import from link” in the client’s subscription or configuration settings. Paste the address, save, and update the subscription. Confirm that the route list appears before connecting.
The first time you connect, iOS will usually ask to let the app add a VPN configuration and require you to complete the device’s verification process. Make sure the request comes from the client you’re using, then follow the system prompts. Don’t enter your device verification details in the subscription import field. Once approved, return to the client, choose a route, and connect. Don’t rely on the system status icon alone to confirm that a service is accessible; open a page to check it in the next step.
Linux is also supported. Sign in to the dashboard to get the client for your device and follow the included instructions to add your subscription. This guide focuses on common desktop and mobile setups. For more detailed configuration help, visit the Help Center. Whichever platform you use, import the subscription and connect each device separately. A connection on one device won’t automatically connect another.
Connect to a Route and Verify It Works
Once your subscription has loaded, choose a regional route suited to the service you want to use, then connect. Start with a region you use often and try other options if needed. A connected status in the client usually means the connection is active, but whether a particular website is accessible may also depend on your account region, the service’s rules, and the website’s status. Check these separately.
Open the page you want to use and check that it loads before proceeding. To test an AI tool, send a simple prompt and see whether it continues to generate a response. For video, check that the playback page opens and the video plays. Keep the same route during testing. Switching regions while a page loads, you sign in, or a response is being generated can make the results hard to interpret.
If no routes appear in the client, return to the configuration page, check that the subscription was imported successfully, and update it. If routes appear but the connection fails, check that your local network is working and try another route. If regular pages load but a particular service reports a region or account issue, check that service’s requirements rather than assuming the subscription is at fault. Streaming catalog availability and access to AI services are determined by each platform.
If you need help, note your device platform, the client’s message, what you were doing when the issue occurred, and whether it affects all routes. Submit these details through a user dashboard ticket. Screenshots should show the error only; hide account details and subscription links. For detailed troubleshooting, see the Help Center. For regional availability checks and differences between web and API access for tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, continue to the AI Access Guide.
Once you’ve verified the connection, everyday use is simple: open the client, check the current configuration, and connect. Update your subscription when the route list changes, and import it again from the dashboard when you switch devices. Following the same steps makes issues easier to pinpoint than repeatedly reinstalling the client, while keeping account management, subscription updates, and device connections separate.
